What PuzzleMessage stores
When you create a puzzle, we temporarily store the photo or video you choose, the hidden message, the optional promise, and basic puzzle details needed to make the share link work.
How long it lasts
Puzzle links are designed to expire after 24 hours. After that, the puzzle may no longer be available, and stored puzzle files are scheduled for deletion.
Who can open it
Anyone with the puzzle link can open the puzzle. The hidden message and promise are shown only after the puzzle is solved.
Security
Puzzle files are stored with Cloudflare R2, which provides encryption in transit and at rest. This is not end-to-end encrypted yet, so please avoid uploading highly sensitive content.
Future privacy work
We plan to explore client-side encryption so media and hidden messages can be encrypted before upload.

PuzzleMessage is for personal surprise messages. Do not upload illegal, harmful, abusive, or non-consensual content.
You are responsible for what you share
Only upload media and messages you have the right to share. Anyone with the full link may be able to open the puzzle before it expires.
Temporary links
Puzzle links are temporary and may expire, fail, or become unavailable. Keep your own copy of anything important.
No sensitive uploads
Do not use PuzzleMessage for passwords, government IDs, financial records, medical records, or other highly sensitive information.
